Stepping into Xiaoqikong in Libo, Guizhou, reveals Monet’s watercolors were no fantasy — here, blue and green are light shattered by ripples, an impressionist canvas painted by nature itself.
Crystal-clear water glows like polished sapphire.Sunlight filters through trees, dappling the surface with golden flecks that dance with ripples. Underwater, Ottelia acuminata and grasses unfurl, tender green leaves cupping tiny white blooms that sway gently in the clear current, echoing the lazy, vibrant life of Monet’s water lilies.

A breeze stirs the water, blurring tree reflections and softening the edges of blue and green. Deep emerald grasses, fresh lime leaves, and sapphire water blend into a living oil painting, each ripple a brushstroke by nature.

No city noise here, only the murmur of water and an endless expanse of blue and green. Monet’s water lily pond was not confined to Giverny, it thrives in the mountains of Guizhou. At Xiaoqikong, every breeze, every leaf, every drop whispers nature's most romantic impression.
