五月初夏，黔南荔波的喀斯特山野迎来了一场惊艳的“花中奇观”。国家二级重点保护野生植物——美花石斛，在绿意盎然的林间悄然盛放，花期仅20天左右。

In the early summer of May, the karst mountains of Libo, southern Guizhou, have unveiled a stunning floral wonder. Dendrobium loddigesii, a national ClassIIkey protected wild plant, blooms quietly in lush green forests, with a flowering period lasting only about 20 days.

美花石斛又名粉花石斛、环草石斛，是兰科石斛属的多年生附生草本植物，茎柔弱常下垂，花色呈白色或淡紫红色，唇瓣中央为金黄色，气味芳香，被誉为“四大观赏洋花”之一。它不仅是珍稀的野生花卉资源，还是我国传统名贵中药材，以茎入药，有益胃生津、滋阴清热、润肺止咳等功效。

Also known as pink-flowered dendrobium or ring-herb dendrobium, Dendrobium loddigesii is a perennial epiphytic herb of the Orchidaceae family. Its stems are slender and often drooping; flowers are white or pale purplish-red with a golden-yellow lip center and a fragrant scent, earning it a reputation as one of the four major ornamental foreign orchids. Beyond its rare wild floral value, it is also a prized traditional Chinese medicinal herb. Its stems are used to nourish the stomach, promote fluid production, clear heat, moisten the lungs, and relieve coughs.

由于野生种群数量稀少，美花石斛已被列入《国家重点保护野生植物名录》，属国家二级重点保护野生植物，同时在《世界自然保护联盟濒危物种红色名录》（IUCN）中被列为易危（VU）物种，具有极高的科研与生态保护价值。

Due to its sparse wild populations, Dendrobium loddigesii has been included in the List of National Key Protected Wild Plants as a ClassIIprotected species. It is also listed as Vulnerable (VU) on the IUCN Red List, holding high scientific and ecological conservation value.

美花石斛主要分布于贵州西南部、云南南部、广西、广东、海南等地，性喜温暖湿润，附生于山地林中树干或林下岩石之上。贵州荔波喀斯特地貌植被丰茂、气候湿润，野生兰科植物资源极为丰富。

Dendrobium loddigesii is mainly distributed in southwestern Guizhou, southern Yunnan, Guangxi, Guangdong, and Hainan. It thrives in warm, humid environments, growing epiphytically on tree trunks or rocks in mountain forests. Libo's karst landscape features lush vegetation and a moist climate, offering exceptionally rich wild orchid resources.

生长在贵州荔波的美花石斛

近年来，茂兰国家级自然保护区科研人员在荔波已连续发现多项兰科植物新纪录，截至目前荔波全县兰科植物已多达200余种，茂兰保护区内兰科植物也由150多种增至180多种，是名副其实的“兰花王国”。

In recent years, researchers at the Maolan National Nature Reserve have continuously discovered new orchid records in Libo. To date, over 200 orchid species have been documented across Libo County, and the number of orchid species in Maolan Reserve has grown from over 150 to more than 180, truly earning it the title Kingdom of Orchids.
